Banana Walnut Bread
This one bowl banana walnut bread is super easy to make and extra satisfying in the end. It’s packed with smashed banana’s and chopped walnuts. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed up
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsalted, melted butter
3 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup roughly chopped walnuts (for cake mixture)
1/2 cup roughly chopped walnuts (to top the cake)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9 by 5 loaf pan. Set aside
In a bowl, add in the bananas, sugar, butter, milk, vanilla and egg. Mix together until thoroughly combined.
Sift in the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. With a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, mix until just incorporated. Fold in the 1/3 cup of walnuts and transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan.
Top the batter with 1/.4 cup walnuts. Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean. Cool the bread in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Turn the bread out of the pan and let it cool completely on the rack. Enjoy!
