Tzatziki Sauce
My absolute favorite dressing for gyros, dip for pita, or a side sauce for dipping cevapi. Super simple and easy to whip up in a short amount of time. I always see tzatziki recipes saying to drain the excess cucumber water, but I love to leave it for that added fresh cucumber flavor.
Yield: 5 Servings
Ingredients:
1 cup sour cream
1 cup greek yogurt
2 cucumbers, shredded
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 of a lemon, juiced
2 garlic cloves, minced
salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
1. In a bowl, mix sour cream and yogurt
2. Shred cucumber and add to yogurt mixture. After, add in minced garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper. Stir all the ingredients together.
3. Serve immediately or cover and refridgerate.
